The Write Ingredients
"~Try, Try Again!~"
by Wondrous Wordsmith on 04/08/12
Whatever it is, whatever you desire, you haven't quite accomplished, keep tryin' until it comes to pass. Many of us remember the familiar quote, "if at first you don't succeed, try, try again!" This in my creative mind, would pave the way for the Little Engine that could, "I think I can, I think I can!" It's a simple equation, if you quit, you can't compete and you won't complete! Keep striving, keep running, keep doing, keep praying...keep trying 'til you get what your heart desires.
"Every accomplishment large and small begins with the same decision: I'll try." - Ted Key, American Cartoonist/Writer
"~Make A Plan!~"
by Wondrous Wordsmith on 04/07/12
Spontaneity is great and can be very attractive, but too much of a good thing can be a bad thing too. Everything should require some sort of plan...for me, a plan includes everything, right down to what I eat. Too many sweets (and I looooooove sweets, ask anybody)...a good thing at the time, oftentimes renders poor results in the long run. Diet (I prefer weight management...diet contains the word "die") planning is a must for my life! Remember, no matter what you set your mind to, develop a plan to see it to fruition. Wanna get out of debt...Financial Plan...wanna start a new business...Business Plan...wanna watch your caloric intake...Health Plan...wanna decrease your weight...Fitness Plan...and the beat my dear friends goes on and on! Make your plan and then go do it, live it, be it, but get it done!
"A goal without a plan is just as wish." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery, French Author/Laureate/Pioneering Avaiator/Poet
"~Field Of Dreams~"
by Wondrous Wordsmith on 04/06/12
Ya'll remember the movie right? Let me refresh your memory...Kevin Costner was losing his farm and wanted to turn it into a baseball diamond. "If you build it, they will come" was the theme of the year, remember? Everyone thought Kevin Costner's character was crrrrrrazzzzzy, but he kept dreamin' his dream and before you knew it, here came Shoeless Joe Jackson and the rest of his crew. As you continue to dream plans for your life, don't give up on your creativity, no matter how ludicrous it may seem to others.
Walt Elias Disney was fired from his first job because he lacked creativity...can you believe that? His work (even post death) is phenomenal and the legacy he has left for all to enjoy is extraordinary! Be a Walt Disney, dream big, create every day, and leave something behind for all to enjoy!
"All your dreams come true, if you have the courage to pursue them." - Walt Disney, Animator/Director/Entertainer/Entrepreneur/Film Producer/International Icon/Philanthropist/Screenwriter/Voice Actor
"~Reach Out & Touch...~"
by Wondrous Wordsmith on 04/05/12
The song, "Reach Out and Touch Somebody's Hand..." is apropos as we move forward into this New Year...already we're five days into the fourth month. Time does fly quickly and life changes rapidly, so remember to touch somebody's life as you pass them and take the time to assist them in their future endeavors...however you can...and thank those who have done the same for you!
"Help others get ahead. You will always stand taller with someone else on your shoulders." - Bob Moaward, Author
"~Keep Your Mouth Shut!~"
by Wondrous Wordsmith on 04/04/12
Many of us were raised by parents who taught us, "if you can't say anything nice, then don't say it at all." My mother put an extra spin to this familiar aphorism and said, "if you can't say anything nice, then shut up" and she meant what she said and said what she meant! Sometimes we can fall into negative criticisms without recognizing that we are diminishing someone's very soul, we look for the "fault" in every circumstance and sometimes we respond negatively to our surroundings by falling into a trap of "nastiness." Words come from our "thoughts," so remember to find a lil' good in everything and watch how your positivity will flourish into a calmer "you."
